Alexandra's Attic Was Established In 1996 When The Dream Of Owning My Own Shop Became A Reality. Loving Antique's Since I Was A Little Girl Growing Up On My Family Farm In Upstate New York, I Had A Vision Of Blending Them With Handcrafted Colonial Reproduction Furniture, Primitive Candles, Textiles, And Wonderful Goods Of All Kinds.
After The Country Store Where I Was Head Buyer And Sales Manager Decided To Close, I Decided That This Would Be The Perfect Time. When An 1830's House Became Available I Thought This Would Be The Perfect Place, And It Was.
I Named The Shop After My Daughter (Only Six Years Old At The Time). Alex And My Son John(8 Years Old),Always A Constant Presence At The Store, Have Become To Be Known By Name To All Who Enter. My Goal Was To Give Our Customers That "At Home" Feeling, Being Comfortable While Shopping With Us, Many Of Them Just Stopping In To Chat As Well As Browse. They Have Been Known To Call Our Store "There Home Away From Home" .Throughout The Years We Have Established Some True And Lasting Friendships ,And That Gives Me A Wonderful Feeling.
